Seasonal lawn Weed / Feed Plans

Lawn Fertilization Weed and Pest Control

We know what your lawn needs, when it needs it. Applying the correct rate of macronutrients is essential for healthy growth and strength. Controlling weeds, crabgrass, nutsedge and grubs are all crucial components of proper turf management in Indiana. It all starts with a good plan.

5 Step Economy plan

• 5 visits with measured/balanced slow-release granular fertilizer feedings

• pre-emergent crabgrass control

• broadleaf and grassy weed post-emergent control (spraying)

• yellow nutsedge control (3 step spray plan)

• annual grub control

Soil Aeration

Aeration

Liquid Aeration

Core Aeration

Aeration is a process of loosening the soil, either mechanically or by liquid application, allowing more air, nutrients, and water to move into the soil to the turf grass root system. Aeration also helps to alleviate thatch build up.

Core Aeration

Liquid Aeration

Core Aeration

Core aeration uses mechanical means to punch holes and remove plugs of soil, depositing them onto the surface, effectively creating a "tilling" effect, loosening soil, and controlling thatch. Core aeration is an ideal way to prepare the soil for seed, creating excellent seed-to-soil contact.

Liquid Aeration

Liquid Aeration

Liquid Aeration

Liquid aeration contains surfactants/soil conditioners that penetrate the soil, create small pores/micro-cracks allowing water, oxygen, and nutrients to reach grass roots more effectively.
It also adds microbial activity, amino acids, sea weed extracts and enhancers that increase the biological and chemical activity at the root zone which in turn increases plant resilience and nutrient uptake.

overseeding and starter fertilizer

Overseeding

The practice of adding grass seed to an existing lawn, either in spots where bare areas show, or over larger areas to improve the density of grass that has become thin. Overseeding is also a great way to introduce better cultivars of turf that have been engineered for better drought and fungal resistance.

Starter Fertilizer

Helps newly planted seeds and seedlings get off to a strong start by providing them with essential nutrients, particularly phosphorus, right when they need them most. This promotes rapid root development, which is crucial for seedling establishment and healthy growth.

lawn insect control

Subsurface Insects

Grubs are small, white, c-shaped larvae that feed on turf grass roots, which can cause significant damage when population numbers are too high. Control these subsurface insects each season to protect your turf root system.

Surface Insects

Common lawn outdoor pests on the surface include fleas, ticks, chiggers, earwigs, ants, spiders, and more. Control these yearly to keep populations lower and protect people, pets, and the turf leaves/stems from chewing insects.

Lawn Disease prevention

Lawn Disease

Why do I have a fungal outbreak?

Why do I have a fungal outbreak?

Lawn fungal diseases can take on a variety of forms - brown patches, highly visible spots or threads, rings, or slimes, and can be difficult to treat. Fungicides are meant to be preventative, and can help reduce the spores and keep outbreaks from spreading.

Why do I have a fungal outbreak?

Your lawn is naturally full of fungi and spores, some harmless and others problematic. The right (or wrong) conditions can cause fungus to erupt into disease. The most common causes of lawn fungal disease are:

- drought

- improper mower height

- compacted soil

-overwatering

- wrong grass type

- weather conditions (particularly temperate and humidity)

perimeter pest control - home or structure

Perimeter Pest Barrier

Perimeter Pest Barrier

Perimeter Pest Barrier

A preventative service that creates a barrier to reduce bugs from entering the structure. Granular/liquid spray applications are made 3 times per season (Spring-Summer-Fall) 2-3 feet around the base of the structure, and 2-3 feet onto the surrounding landscape.

Controlled Pests

Perimeter Pest Barrier

Controls ants, spiders, boxelder bugs, centipedes, cockroaches, earwigs, lady beetles, millipedes, mud daubers, sow bugs, stink bugs, and more.

We quickly and effectively treat existing mosquito problems through targeted mosquito defense applications. Sleeping during the heat of the day, mosquitos are found on the underside of foliage up to 10 ft off the ground. Mosquitos rest, come into contact with the barrier, and absorb the product. Applications will quickly kill many mosquitos and lower the number of adult mosquitos, larvae, and eggs on the property.
